Tuner Pro speedometer?
I was having an issue the other day when my laptop died. I had to rest the 7165 definitions as well as the correct com port. After doing that I was able to datalog again. Ever since while car is in park and at an idle my speedometer is jumping around from 0-100mph. This is happening on the cars speedo as well as in the data log. Is it possible that while i was trying to fix TP i clicked on something in the setting that would cause this to happen? Thanks
Update..when I rev the engine the speed seems to follow the tach even though the cars in park
under tools in TunerPro>General>Files Association, I have all the file options checked off. I wasnt sure which files were need but think that could be my issue???

Re: Tuner Pro speedometer?
That's odd especially in park. while in drive the vss sends a 2ppm to the speed buffer. The speed buffer sends a optical 2ppm signal to the ecm and a 4ppm to the speedometer.

Yeah, I'm not sure. I think I really need to correct what I have checked off under...Tools> preferences> general> file Associations????
Right now the car speedo as well as the speedo in tuner pro will go higher as I rev the car even when I'm not moving in park.

Maybe its not the bin and it could be a bad ecm or msd?

Re: Tuner Pro speedometer?
If the actual speedo is moving, higly unlikely to be related to tuner pro.
The next question to verify would be, Are you just datalogging with Tuner Pro or are you using an emulator with Tuner Pro?

I use tp to datalog and make changes to burn chips. Is their a sensor that could be bad for speedo?

The two wires from the VSS (yel & ppl) should be twisted together to alleviate noise issues. It also may be that one of them is open, or that one side of the VSS is open.
