remote starter?

I am looking for a remote starter for my 86 Berlinetta w/ 305 and 4 barrel carb. does this exist? I was told that it will only work on fuel injected cars....could this be a route for this car? I have an 87 monte carlo 2.8 that is fuel injected.....can i do it on that car?

you can use a remote start but only if your car starts on the first attempt, without pumping the gas. On a carbed car you have to push the pedal to the floor once to get the choke to come on. After you've warmed the car up for the day you would be able to use the remote, but on cold days, well....

A door lock actuator connected to the throttle linkage and hooked up to an auxiliary line of the remote start unit will work great to pump it once or twice. It's also really cool to be able to rev your car from 200 feet away.

*Disclaimer: If you do this and for some reason the actuator hangs and runs your car wide open, it's not my fault. You should try to install it with a return spring of some sort to prevent such problems.

Spoken like only a southerner can. Come on up here this week... our overnight lows are below zero. Let's see if you'd rather run your underwear-wearing *** out there barefoot in temps so sold that your hand will stick to the door handle, or if you just press a button while drinking a piping hot coffee.

born and raised in Mass..

yes, ive walked the dog barefoot in the dark at 5am and had the pins and needles on my feet as they warmed up.

you're just being a lil wuss.

edit:
thats why i know how good i have it here... ahhh, i think it was somthing like a low of 45 lastnight... it made me turn the heater on in the convertible... another 5 degrees, and i might have had to put the top up..... ahhhh! *rubbs it in*
btw, did you know how much smoother the roads get when they dont get ice freezing between the cracks?
