Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
The relay is located in the 'convenience center', above your right leg when sitting in the car. It's a panel that drops down similar to the way the fuse block does. The fuse is marked simply as 'C/H' and is located in one of the corners on the same side as the silver circuit breakers.
The original choke wire would be light blue in color. The Holley may require a wire to ground for the choke element to function.

What year and model is your engine? It is important for the right answer.

all i know is its a 350 small block
and I dont know how to verify that.
guess i better start looking for numbers on the block
where would be the easiest place to find numbers for
the engine?

I need to run a wire from the fuse box

but isnt there suppose to be a relay also
so the choke doesnt burn up?

I had to wire up a line from the fuse box
to my choke I didnt use a relay because I dont know
how never did it before.
The choke only gets power when I turn the key to the on
position , this was working fine until my guages blew out
again. The fuse for the gauge was blowing before
I wired up the choke. I cant find the problem ..
MY Camaro has alot of electrical
problems and IM not the only one.
seems like everyday someone
post problems .
I think I made a mistake
should of stayed with the imports
I have and 89 celica no problems ever and it has 200,000 miles.
not one electrical problem just shows quality it was built in
Japan.
I like the way the camaro looks and drives but Im getting
frustrated personally I messed up buying this car.
Im not gonna give up yet. ill tear the wires out andput aftermarket guages the cpu isnt doing much anymore anyway.
