Blinkers not working, any ideas?
They were but now they just stopped, is there a common problem i might not know if? It is on my 89 and yea, all the fuses are good i have checked them and double checked them. I hope to get them fixed before i actually get pulled over!
Thanks for any help.

yea it should be in the column. If they work then my guess is wrong...but it may be your flasher unit. Confirm if the 4way emergency flashers work or not and we can go from there.

also make sure ALL the light bulbs that blink are seated properly in the socket. For 20yr old cars, the connections aren't as tight. I thought my left flasher wasn't working either but I checked all the bulbs in the tailights and the front turn signals and its fixed now...

Re: Blinkers not working, any ideas?
my guess is the flasher unit, i believe it is located in the "convenience center." Look under the dash and notice a cover for the plug that GM uses to read your car codes. Above that is the flasher unit. You need to lower the entire unit. You may need to lower the hush panel on the driver side. I believe the entire thing is held in by two screws. All should be 7MM. Pull it down and you will see this round cylinder looking thing, pull it out and there are only two prongs IIRC. Bring that to your local automobile store and they should be able to hook you up with the flasher unit that you need. If i'm wrong on any of this someone chime in, but that would be my opinion/suggestion. If you have a 7mm socket wrench you might be able to do all this at the auto parts store so that you don't need to drive around with hanging wires which may be dangerous. Be careful and good luck!
If at all possible...get a volt meter. After you take eveyrthing apart, unplug the flasher unit, and then turn on your turn signal and test one of the two leads of the flasher unit. Make sure that you have power to the flasher unit. If you don't have power it may be a totally differnt thing.

Re: Blinkers not working, any ideas?
yea you can try putting back in the buzzer and see if it works. Keep us posted and we can go from there, but if you uninstalled something, put it back and we can go from there.
