Post up pics, and how you did it.

Re: HID's????
Yeah a few guys on here have them. I just ordered a system off ebay for about $60. I also ordered a new wiring harness. If you get H4 bulbs it should be a direct replacement. Someone correct me if im wrong.

Re: HID's????
You need the housings to convert the sealed beams to replaceable H4 bulbs and an HID conversion kit for H4 or 9003 bulbs. I've always liked this pic I took:

Re: HID's????
Are these the same housing you can find on Ebay?? Where can I get the wiring harness? I can get a complete HID kit for $50 shipped, all I would need is the housings and the I guess the harness.

Re: HID's????
All of the housings I have are ebay ones. There's no wire harness needed, just an adjustment to the placement of the terminals in the stock connector is all. Some people like to run relays and use the stock wiring as the trigger for it, but I don't think it's needed. If you get a bi-xenon HID kit it will have its own relay system built in anyway though. I'd double check that HID kit is for H4 bulbs. I have seen kits that cheap, but not for H4 or other dual beam bulbs, specially if it's a bi-xenon kind.

Ok Great. I was trying to figure out how to get HID's to work with the stock housings. I really didnt want to take them apart to try and get it to work.
The HID's are that cheap, I got a set for my silverado from teh same guy and they work great. I dont think I will use the Bi Xenon kit as My Hi and Low beam arent the same bulb. Thanks for the info.
One more question about the Ebay clear lenses. I have had to replace 2 sets of my Parking lights due to moisture forming in them. Even tho the moisture goes away after some time. Do any of your ebay lenses(headlights, fog lights, parking lights) have a moisture problem afte you wash your car? Did you seal them any special way ro just install them and forget it.

Re: HID's????
If you're talking about the camaro, the only bulbs that I'm aware of that you can get, H4's, have dual beams which require some way of dual beaming the bulb. I did have moisture problems like you say, but that was because the rubber cap got a cut in it. They usually seal quite well to the bulbs, but you could zip tie the outer part to help seal that.

I have already searched and didnt find the answers I was looking for. For how many pages there are of things going off topic. I would just rather ask someone who just did it for a little info.

Re: HID's????
Okay well. i Just bought a regular HID kit off of ebay. any one with H4 bulbs will work. then i bought the new 4x6 H4 housings off of ebay. I also got a wiring harness from 3bspecialties.com. Which I recomend for peice of mind. All you need to do is find a good place to mount the ballasts, hook up thhe new harness, and replace the sealed beams with the new H4 housings. I also just put cheap bulbs in the brights just so they were functional. I'll try to get links asap.

Re: HID's????
Nope just one harness. it goes from the battery to your ballasts. and it has a plug for the stock headlight plug so when you turn your lights on it puts power to the HID's.

Re: HID's????
Should be able to put HID's in the fogs too. The stock bulbs in those are 885's, but I believe any 88x bulb kit will work since I remember seeing 880/881 kits. The difference in the different numbers looked to be if the plug on the bulb was straight or 90 degrees and different wattages.

Re: HID's????
got it...thanx.. i cant seem to find the difference between the 880 and the 881 kit (like wattages/ what the shape of the bulb is)
does anyone know? i want to order this stuff this week... but it has to be right, most of these kits are not returnable.
just need to know which kit: 880 or the 881 HID kit is correct for putting HIDS in the stock iroc foglights.
thank you

Re: HID's????
800 series bulbs are identical, except for the actual plug. So as long as you adapt the factory plug to the HID kit you end up buying, you'll be ok.

Re: HID's????
That auction is for just 1 headlight. The headlight can be used for either the bright or the low beam as it doesnt come with a bulb. Look around on Ebay, there are auctions for a complete set of lights. Both low beams, both brights, both foglights, and both clear corner lenses.
