HELP HAVING GAUGES PROBLEM!!
Hi i am having problems with my gauge cluster...i posted awhile back that my battery gauge was not working so i decided to check it out..well it turns out it does work..i took off the spedo and started the car and it went up to the middle line like nothing...but as soon as i put the rpm gauge back in it dropped..so when u would take the rpm gauge off it would be good and when i plugged back in it would drop..And when i turn on the instrument cluster lights everything stops working can anybody tell me what can be going on?

It sounds like some connection(s) have become faulty, especially ground(s).
Inspect all the connectors and check the connections with a meter.

If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going Backwards
When you see fog or “running” lights on in good weather beware. Low performance driver ahead.
How bout those nitwits too scared to drive without headlights in the daytime
and the nitwits that need headlights for a little rain

The bulk of the grounds are sent to a termination behind the left side of the dash on the ‘convenience center’ bracket.

Sounds like it.
If it’s all good use an ohmmeter between ground and the illumination bus to see if that’s grounded.
