Connector in console?
I need to wire my reverse light switch on my B&M shifter and I need to connect to the green and blue wires on the connector that is in the center console. How do I do that? Before when I was testing whether or not it worked before I out it all together, I would just put the wire into the holes in the connector. What is the right way to do it?
Another question. What is this connector for anyway? Was it connected to the stock shifter? I want to put the stock shifter back in someday after I get the camaro on the road for a while.
Thanks for the help guys.

Re: Connector in console?
Any pictures? The only wires that I know are the shifter selector light, nuetral safety switch, and the glove box light. There may be more but I'm really not too familiar with that particular area. Ive only gotten that area once when I changed my shifter cable.

Re: Connector in console?
Well in my camaro there is a black connector with maybe 10 wires connected to it. It looks like another connector should connect into that one. Sorry, I don't have any pics. I won't be able to work on the car until sunday, if at all! Hate this New England weather.
Re: Connector in console?
B&m should have the directions to wire the switch correctly. Its deals mostly with the park neutral switch and the back up lights. You will need the park/neutral switch to work correctly if you want your emissions systems to work. I will see if i can find a link for you.

Re: Connector in console?
I know how to wire it, I just want to know the proper way to connect it to the black connector in the console. I feel like it isn't right to just push the wires into the connector slots and leave it that way. Are there crimp on connectors for this?

Call b&m. I'm sure they have or can direct you to the place to make the application like how its suposed to be. After all, they do make a shifter specifically for our third gens.

Why not just use these:
http://www.wiringproducts.com/contents/en-us/d265.html
They are available at any local autoparts store - they crimp on the wire, then you use a crimp-on male spade connector - that way you can leave your OEM connector in tact and just 'tap' in on thw wires you need.
