Size Doesn’t Matter . . . . . uhhhhh At Least Not In The Circuit.
It doesn’t matter.
Those fractions refer to the wattage dissipation of the resistor and there is not enuff wattage in that part of the circuit to matter.
Therefore choose a resistor of a size to make it easy to connect.

Re: VATS question!
Hi i,m trying to get my 92 firebird to start i did the bypass and it still wont crank. what is or is not your car doing? the security light comes on but does not blink , checked starter it works. checked battery o.k. somebody said check p/n switch i think it is under shifter, changed starter enable relay it is under the kick plate driver side. If you had any luck getting it started please let me know.

Re: VATS question!
It might be the VATS unit itself then. You'll have to buy a VATS bypass module off the internet and solder it in if your vats is broken.

Re: VATS question!
Switch could be faulty sending no power to starter circuit
Have you checked for 12V at the relay , the P/N switch / starter solenoid when key in start position
Could a have bad wire / bad connection somewhere

Re: VATS question!
You still have to manually bypass the starter enable relay so it wouldn't help with his problem

Re: VATS question!
does anyone know of a good write up to bypass the VATS as I am going to be putting my 355 t56 in my car soon and would need to know how to either bypass it or completely eliminate it all together. Thanks
