Trunk Issues

So currently I am forced to take off my license plate to put the key in to open my trunk. The hatch works fine, but the switch in the center console will not open it. Kind of sucks to put the t tops away. Anyone know how to fix this? Is it just a matter of replacing the switch? Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

Re: Trunk Issues

You can pull the switch out and jumper around it and if trunk opens then your switch is bad.

Re: Trunk Issues

The switch I believe snaps in and is removed by gently prying up on it[I think]. Then just take a little piece of wire and jumper across the terminals.

Re: Trunk Issues

Found out it wasn't the switch. Had to disconnect the cig lighter to make the fuse stop blowing.

Re: Trunk Issues

That fuse (Acc) powers about 10 things besides the hatch release; you didnt mention that. Glad you found the problem

Re: Trunk Issues

Also your license plate should be mounted on a hinge so you can lower it to open the hatch manually.
