Hmm.. that's odd... here.. try this

http://www.geocities.com/vtcamaro/Wire-Diagrams.html

The link you're looking for is the top one, middle column.

(speaking for firebirds) The relay is not under the console (or else mine is missing yet still works somehow ). I've yet to have to screw with mine yet so I can't say for sure but, it's either going to be under the dash somewhere (yea,, real helpful huh ?) or it's that litttle black cube lookin relay thingy mounted on the hatch motor assembly itself (never paid attn when I had the cover off it).

Little to no help but, hey... I tried

Hatch release relay location

The Hatch Release relay is mounted in the hatch as part of the hatch motor assembly. It has 4 terminals and a total of 7 wires going into it. Some of these wires merely junction at the relay.

To get to it, pull the rearmost vinyl molding, and it is all there.

I hope that this helps

The relay is under the console, not too far from the switch. Just follow the brown wire from the switch.

Hey Omar, did I give him bad info? If so, sincerest apologies and also thanks for the correction. I thought he was looking for the motor relay.

i got it, i removed top of console again to get access to switch and i unplugged it and the orange wire is hot, switch is bad is all, i contected the two wires' contacts together with a prodding tool and the hatch popped, yay. but for soem reason a relay plug with the orange and gray wires is missing, has masking type of tape around it, but it works withought relay so hm. oh well..

anyoen know maybe whats up with that ?

where do i get new hatch switch ?
