I am selling my complete dual exhaust set up out of my 1991 rs with th400 trans
I am switching to ls1

Specs
Herman longtube headers 1 5/8 primaries 3"collector with three bolt flange. The passenger
Side header. Had leaks on primary tubes #6 and #8I so I put a small weld where the primary tubes mate with the head flange. Also on both headers I cut the head flange in two places to allow the header to draw up better to the head. I have done this on many headers in the past (see pics)

From the headers it drops down below trans crossmember by the way of headman header extensions 3" that I have custom cut to fit. Then goes to flowmaster universal weld up
H pipe. There are two spots on the h pipe where there are 1/2 pieces of exhaust tubing (c shape) to helpthe brace the exhaust together (see pics). Also there is some dimpling of the exhaust pipe coming into the h pipe to make clearance for the Umi crossmember I added. (See pics) Then to 2ft of 3"exhaust tubing on each side that is welded to two summit welded race mufflers (love the sound)

The exhaust is mounted to the rear body of the car with two universal tail pipe hanged and two exhaust clamps. Exhaust tucks up nicely and can drive over an average height speed bump. Has some scrapes on the header extensions but nothing more than cosmetic.
Exhaust is is painted with black header paint. Ran 11.52 @116mph behind my 383


Asking $200 picked up. Complete exhaust. Headers are still on car will pull them soon.

can that whole set up be made to fit with a lil elbow grease to my stock 84 z28 at stock height without sitting too low also?

 

it should fit good as long as the exhaust is paired with the headers. i just pulled them out i will post pics soon.

i am still interested..trying to line up money and im still not sure how this exhaust will perform on my pos 305..like is it too much exhaust for what i got etc..still trying to learn this stuff. if you can sell it sell it, but ill get back to you as soon as i can about it.

 

The primary tubes are 1 5/8 which are relatively small for longtubes. Not really ideal fir anything over 400hp

 

Nice System I have been wanting to build something similar and will be using youres has a template. Wish I was closer.
