All of that bolts right up. About the only thing to watch out for is the crank bolt pattern; the older motor will use the 2-piece rear main seal parts, and if your car is 86 or newer, your existing flex plate will be the 1-piece type.
If it's a big block (I'm assuming that it is), your major difficulty will be the exhaust.

I wouldn't worry too much about the exhaust. Hooker sells headers for big block 3rd gens. And then you should be able to run a decent exhaust system from there. But that motor sounds like a good deal to me.
Thanks a lot!!! Man this site is amazing for quick answers! Well my Camaro is an 85 T.P.I but were going to change it over to carb for this motor but my dad just wanted to know if the trans would bolt up to the motor because we put a lot of money into the trans! But yeah this motor is from a machine shop a guy dropped it off and had it all built up nice gear driven and top of the line stuff!!! Well it originally was a $6,000 motor and the guy was making payments on it but then he skipped town and left $1,900 on it and the guy told me that if i just pay the rest of that the motors mine and he will run through it to make sure everything is still good since it was sitting for quite awhile! Thanks and anyone know good tire size/ I was thinking for the back like 275/40/15 and fronts like 235/40/15 will the 275's fit??? Thanks again ~Dan
I don't think that tire size will fit. I'm not even sure they make that size tire. If you want to keep a 15" rim, then 255/50 or 60/15 would be a good tire size. I have the 255/60/15 on mine and they look really good. If you went with a 275, you would probably have clearance issues.
Thanks yeah i just wanted the fattest tire possible for my car to hook up in the rear! Any ideas on what tire's to go with! I looked at the Nitto 555r's those seem pretty nice! Let me know what you think ~Dan
That depends on what kind of driving you are doing. Are you doing to be dragging or autocrossing too? If it is just dragging (with street driving too), then the BFG drag radials are good for the money. I haven't heard much about the Nitto's but i'm sure they are good too.

The only thing your going to find a 275 in is a 17" tire like a 275/40/17 or a 275/45/17(trust me I used to sell tires at a certain automotive parts place) and thats a wide *** tire were talk J Lo sized here lol. Theres also a 295 in a 15(very very wide) and I think theres also a 265. but like Mcas said I highly doubt that would fit.

You could try 275/50 or 60-15s. They will probably fit in the rear with a little massaging of the inner wheel well. I have 275/40-17s on the rear of my car and they fit great...
