engine serial number

I'm in the process of rebuilding a 350 to install into my 91 RS.

I'm trying to get some history on the engine

I've decoded the assembly code, but i've not been able to decode the vin stamp that is on the block

Engine Assembly Date / Suffix Code
VO602TKB

listed vin stamped next to the above engine assembly information: C6B165511

I really just need to find a way to decode the vin listed, as i have done the assembly date

Well, this is going to be my first complete rebuild, as all i have are the block and heads, (no crank, cam, nothing)

i've got a few friends to "guide" me, and help out with this project of turning the Camaro RS into a Drag car.

The heads will be milled about 30 - 40 off them, alum intake with holly double pumper, not sure about the rest.....

any good websites for turning a block into one hell of a motor?

search around on here there are lots of guys doing the same as you and have many ideas of cam and head choices...

are you going to make the 350 into a 383 stroker??

What kind of heads are these? Do you have a casting number for them? Most heads that need milled that much for compression probably dont flow enough to be useful in a performace build anyway (ie 882, 993, 997, etc.)

Any build centered around those heads will be a real dissapointment to you. Those are among the worst of the worst.
