Need 1986 305TPI swap to 1990 350 TPI help

I have arranged an almost complete 350 out of a 1990 iroc (things not included are:all sensors, starter motor, no pullys or brackets (alternator, water pump, etc) to go into my 86 z28.

I know I need a new knock sensor and chip but what else? I am going to keep it MAF for the time being so what needs to be done there? Is there anything else that will need modding to make it fit? I dont want surprises when it goes into the shop... want to make the swap as simple and quick as possible.

Thanks

Use the base and injectors from the '90 engine. Move everything else over from the '86 engine.

The knock sensor is mounted in the block in front of the starter, it might still be there. If so, then all you need is the module.

You won't need a chip to get it running, but it might run better with a 350 chip.

Nope.

The '90 will have center-bolt valve covers, the '86 perimeter bolt, but you'll be using the '90 parts on the '90 engine, so no problem there.

All of your '86 accessories will transfer over to the '90 engine.

Thanks again. What about the fact that the 90 is MAP and im keeping MAF? Is it just a matter of plugging some holes and hooking up the MAF?

Take all of the TPI parts off the '90 engine except the base, injectors, and knock sensor (if it's there) and set them aside. Take the TPI parts off of the '86 engine except for the base, injectors, and knock sensor, and put them on the '90 engine when it's in the car.

one more question - i will need a new ESC module wont I? Apparently the '90-92 had the ESC programming in the chip but since im staying MAF i need to use an '89 bin so i guess that means i need a 350 ESC module.

Ive got the ostrich in there at the moment running a stock '86 305 bin. My question is do i need to replace the ESC cos i heard the 305 and the 350s are different.... but i dont want to be forking out for parts i dont need if they are compatible.
