Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

How straight forward it would be depends upon the vintage of your 350. Do you know what you have, exactly? Head and block casting #'s would be good to know.

Re: 305 to 350

It can't be any more straight forward. Just get rid of all the crap you don't need under the hood. You should have a v belt system so deleting stuff should be easy and if you don't live in a smog state you shouldn't have to worry about being hassled. Just as long as all your brackets fit on the 350 you won't have a problem.

Actually, brackets are the least of the concerns. Dipstick location, rear main seal type, intake mount bolt pattern, and the like, are why I asked.

There isn't much "smog stuff" to be removed.

sorry it took me awhile to reply, what year would you guys recomend to get, im also going to be using an m-22 with the swap. the car will not have a/c,power steering, or smog. on the ignition will i have to change any thing besides the distributor, and also i have a rebuilt holley q-jet with the tps and m/c solenoid, could i use that on it without any problems to save some money for a while.

I wouldn't worry too much about the year of the engine. Whatever you get, you can overcome any of the small issues that exist. Later roller lifter one-piece-rear mains seal blocks seem to be of better quality than older engines.
