will this work
well iv searched this forum but cant find anything on this subject. i have an early 80s oldsmoblie 350 in my garage and was wondering would it fit into my 85 trans-am. i know that the computer needs to be adjusted, a new knock censor, and new injectors but i was wondering if it would work or whether i would need to change some other things out.

"Work" is subjective. You can make most anything that physically fits within the engine compartment "work".
First order of business is to determine if it is a Chevy or Olds engine. Do you know the difference? If Chevy, it's fairly straightforward. If Olds, probably not worth it.

Any small block chevy built since 1957 will bolt to your motor mounts.

1958 model year, actually. '57 only had front engine mounts, the sides of the block were bare.
But, the 350 didn't come out until 1968 ('67 in Camaros only). So, any non-Gen II or III SBC will "work" as a donor.

Since this is already a pontiac thread already i figure il ask my question in this. I have a opurtunity to get my hands on a 66 326 pontiac temptest motor, im not wanting to put it in any car i was just wanting to know if its worth anything? like is it rare or can i get some money for it?

#1, this isn't a "Pontiac thread".
#2, it isn't a 3rd gen question.
