Youll probably need to modify your hod, or get a cowl/SS hood. Then, youll have to redo the motor mounts, custom hedders... etc. It CAN be done, but its a big PITA!

A low profile intake manifold and/or a drop base air cleaner should help your hood clearance problem. The 3" cowl helps but it will still be a tight fit to keep it under the hood.

ummmmm....you don't need to modify the motor mounts. I use a 4"cowl, edelbrock performer intake, 14X3 drop base aircleaner. I also have a 2" spacer on TOP of the carb and I'm right against the hood.

I was looking into this once when I had my hands on a 454. Anyway, not saying these are the best way to go but Summit does sell a pair of Hooker headers for a BB in a third gen. The part# is HOK-2226. They are the super competition headers and cost $362.95

The Hooker Supercomp engine swap headers are the cheapest to get but are not a direct fit. Some modifications are required to get them in the car. You'll also need to either pull the engine out or lift it as high as it will go to get the headers in.
