350 motor mounts
350 motor mounts
I have a 1985 firebird v6. I want to put a 350 from a 1975 blazer, I was wondering what motor mounts would fit both the engine and the stock frame side motor mounts?

Re: 350 motor mounts
move the V6 rubber mounts to the V8 holes on the K member (about 1" forward) and the mounts that are on the 350 will probably drop right in.

Re: 350 motor mounts
That's probably what the OP was trying to avoid. To do it, you have to remove the control arms and springs. If the OP was going to do that, then there's no point trying to keep the V6 pads. Plus the bolt pattern is different, so just moving them is out.
Re: 350 motor mounts
Yes I wanted to mount v6 pads if possible, otherwise I will get a set of v8 pads for it. The motor mounts the 350 came with are completely trashed so using them is not an option.

Yes.
Moving the chassis side mounts to the V8 position makes the most sense to me.
