Ramjet 350 in 91 Rs
I am putting a ramjet 350 in my 91 RS. Only question is I know it uses it's own computer. I will be running a tremec for transmission. What if anything do I need to do with my onboard computer as it isn't used for the engine. Will it be throwing any codes or can I just unhook it.

The ECM runs the fuel pump, which you can rig up in other ways to work. It would be simpler to just leave the ECM in there - it isn't going to get in the way.
The radiator fan is run by a switch in the passenger side head - you'll need that. I believe the speedometer was run from the VSS through a buffer box, so if you leave all that in place it should be fine. If your Tremec has a speedo cable drive instead of a VSS, you'll have to get a transducer to give the speedo a signal.

Since the ramjet has it's own computer and there are things it cant control I will also need the original computer for other things. Since the original computer is not performing all functions will it throw codes such as check engine. If it does what would be the work around?
