Dropping 305tbi and switching to 350 ???'s
Okay long story short, i have been looking around for a sbc350 to take this boat anchor 305 out, and i actually stumbled across a steal! I found a 350 that was 100% there and was a crate engine. I bought it dissassembled and found out that the guy didn't realize what he had.. I paid $250 for a complete turn key. The guy did not realize that after inspecting the crankshaft he had a forged crank, he also had flat top aluminum pistons. Performer edlebrock intake, Performer 600cfm edelbrock carb. So the big question is what do i need to do to delete the ecm and tbi to convert to the carb, it is an electric choke carb, and the guy also had the mechanical fuel pump still. I'm assembling the engine this weekend with all brand new gaskets, and needed to know steps on deleting the tbi and ecm to get this to run in my 91 camaro

Any idea what heads, and what cam?
The Performer intake is barely an upgrade from a factory q-jet intake. But, since you started with TBI, at least you have a carb intake.
I have zero love for Edelbrock carbs. In my opinion, they are sucker bait. But, if you use it, it will run. My preference is to sell it to some other sucker and use the proceeds to do something better.
There is a tech article linked from the thirdgen.org home page about switching from EFI to carb. Rather than go through all the details here, look through that, and then come back with any questions. One thing it doesn't mention is the TH700R-4 transmission TV cable needs a geometry corrector bracket when using a Holley or Edelbrock carb. And, without the ECM to tell the torque converter clutch to lock up, you're going to need to rig up something to do that. Don't do either of these steps, and you'll probably burn up your transmission.
What I would recommend is keep the TBI and upgrade it for the 350. You'll need some stuff, but at least you'll remain legal (and won't have to rig up TCC lock-up, TV connections, etc.). The TBI forum is a better place to ask what you'll need to support a 350.
One thing you should count on either way is replacing all of the exhaust. The 305 stuff is too small for a 305, let alone a 350.

I do have a set of longtubes waiting to be installed, and i also am thinking about going tbi because it's much easier dealing with the trans and etc... thank you for your help it does get pricier when upgrading a tbi system rather than a carburated

Definetly lose the eddy carb, they are good for a stock rebuild but suck for any type of performance.

I have no experience with edelbrock heads, but for that price there is no reason not to use them
