3rd gen to LS adapters

Can anybody tell me what size adapter fittings I need to run the stock 3rd gen oil pressure switch and temp gauge sender? I'm putting them into a 2002 6.0L lq4 motor.

Whats wrong with the LQ4 OPSU?
Using a 98 LS1 CTS will output an analog signal the stock gauge will read

No need for adapters

The 6.0 I bought didn't come with an oil pressure switch or temp sending unit. I have both from my tpi motor. That's why I was just going to use adapters.

I second pocket, especially regarding the CTS. If you're sticking with your factory gauges, you'd need two anyway - one for the gauge and one for the pcm.

As for the oil pressure switch, I ended up using my factory one because I snapped the truck one trying to install it and didn't feel like buying another one.

I'm going to run the 98 3 wire CTS and run my stock tpi oil pressure switch. Thanks for the replies.

Drill/tap the port above the oil filter. It's pretty close to the right size already

Re: 3rd gen to LS adapters

I ended up using the 3 wire CTS and my factory oil pressure switch with an adapter. I had to drill and tap the adapter from 1/8 npt to 1/4 npt.

As far as the 3 wire CTS, where does each wire go? I know which 3 wires I need to hook up, I just don't know where they need to go on the plug.

Re: 3rd gen to LS adapters

Top two are CTS. They are not polar, so you can't get them switched

Bottom goes to your gauge
