Ok I put in my Hooker Cat back today and I was going to put in my heddmans headers too.
Ok I came upon a problem. my hedders have no air tube and no place for a O2 sensor.
from doing a search I have decided to put a heated O2 sensor on the Y-pipe.
what about the air tube? does one have to run from the headers? or can I do without? or do I just do more fabricating for an air tube, or get rid of the headers and go for new ones?
that would be no problem because I got the hedders for free (kind of)
well, ideas?

Well, I have heddmen hedders with no A.I.R. provisioning, but then, all my smog stuff is LONNNG gone, so I had no problems. As far as the O2 sensor bung, I haven't gotten one yet, but I was thinking abuot welding it onto the header in front of the collector, but I don't know if the wire would reach.

 

ok biker, get rid of your smog garbage if you can get away with emissions. delete the smog pump, smog box, pipes, air fittings and all the garbage.. #1- your engine bay will look much cleaner and more proffesion. as for the 02 sensor, buy a bung and weld it into the collector of the header... gl,

 

yeah just forget about the air tubes.. and like said either weld a bung on the y-pipe or header.
