Flowmaster installed today

Just got back from the exhaust shop. Had an 80 series and a 3" custom madrel I-pipe installed as well as a 3" hi flo cat. Power gains are noticeable, but I attribute that to replacing the old, clogged cat.

Anyways, the car sounds great, not tinny, it could be louder, but it sounds very clean.

Will it get louder with time?

I have heard that it takes about 1 week for it to really start sounding better.

Yeah, it will take a little bit of time. When I got mine put on it sounded "alright", but better than stock. Within a couple of weeks I noticed that the sound getting louder and deeper. Then when the headers were put, oh yeah!!, the exhaust sounded awsome.

Do the mufflers that come with the Hooker cat-backs change after time too? for better or worse?

I got my cat taken off ( no emissions in my county, whoo hoo! ) and got a 3" system -w- 80 series Flowmaster. It took a few weeks to really get a nice sound.
