True? Yes.

Hard? Yes.

Expensive, too.

Why did you get those headers? Because they were cheap?

Unless you can fabricate your own pipe, no header is going to be "cheap" if it doesn't include a y-pipe that will bolt to both the headers and your car.

Send them back and get a proper set. If you don't have enough money to do that yet, save up until you do.

i went with those headers because yes money is tight and i have had dynomax full length on my regal before this and never had any problems with them. im just trying to find out what exactly has to be done to the y pipe to put the headers on. does the y pipe have to be cut to fit? or welded on to the header? or ???

i had the dynomax headers put on yesterday what a pain in the as*. i thought i can get away with using the stock y pipe boy was i wrong. so i went to this muffler shop in the bronx i had the headers put on custom make a y pipe and take the cat. out for $260 not bad i think.

From: pgh,pa,
I am in the process of installing those Dynomax shorties, on my car, the stock Y-pipe will need to be modified, but it wont cost me too much to have it done. for example the shop im takin it too, the guy said he would run duals from the headers back including mufflers and everything for $200, plus i know him, so he will hook me up, boy is it going to be fun driving to his shop with open headers

as far as the installation i have installed the passenger side withoug any problems, but i havent messed with the drivers side yet so i dont know if im in for a surprise

BOBBYZ how much of a pain was it to get the driver side in? i have already removed my A/C and power steering, was it a tight fit??

the driver's side is not that bad. the valve cover had to come off because i have the tall profile but other then that the power steering on my car did not have to come off.
and i have no ac. just wiggle it down it will fit.

i am almost sure you will need a new y pipe made. i tried to go the easy route and use my stock y pipe no chance in hell it would fit so i had a new one made.
