I know nothing about exhaust so I'm going to post this before ordering. My friend said these header would fit my car and would be a good upgrade. Is that true? They are Hedman Street Hedders for $135.

Headers would be a great upgrade for your car...but your stock exhaust is not 3" (Those headers have a 3" collector), so you'd either have to do some custom fitting or just replace your whole exhaust. I recommend the latter option, the former option would be pointless.
If you're going to change headers...then grab a y-pipe, cat, and catback and throw on a whole new exhaust. It'll really wake up your 305.

I'm thinkin true duals and a 350 swap.
Dual cats are my only concern (pricewise). I guess I'll search around for prices on it. If I knew headers were so cheap I'd look into doing them a while ago.

I just put those in my Camaro on the weekend... they fit great! the Y-pipe fits really nice too. No lifting the engine to install these headers. The pass side just slid right in, and the drivers side only needed the valve cover removed. Didn't even have to take any spark plugs out to put them in. Definitely reccomend them!

just note, that the y-pipe is NOT included into the price of those headers.
if you want to go true duals, i would strongly suggest some longtube headers like the heddman 68460's instead. they are much easier to fabricate duals on because there are less bends to make then with shorties. go to the fourth page of my cardomain site to see all sorts of pictures of my setup. www.cardomain.com/id/mw66nova

the longtubes go in pretty easy. i have no ac/ which i believe helped quite a bit. the pass side will not go in with the starter installed, it will need to be dropped. the drivers side a-arm perch will need to be trimmed, but is easy enough to do with a grinder or sawzall. i believe #3 primary will need a small dent where it goes over the k-member. it might be easier to grind the k-member though. just whatever you do, do not be afraid to grind alittle on your car. you will not screw it up. be confident. i have put these headers on four different cars. i am like a frickin' pro at it now.
P.S. your sig is going to give me an epileptic fit dude...
