Muffler connected to Cat.
Does anyone see any problems to welding a round style muffler (glasspack, dynomax race mufflers, etc.) right to the cat instead of putting them in the back of the car?

O I would still run pipes to the back of the car. I am just curious if it would sound like **** or it would restrict the exhaust to put the muffler right after the cat.

Thats wierd. I drove my car two weeks with an open y pipe before I connected the rest of the exhaust. Never had any problems with fumes.

I didn't even have a cat on, just an open y pipe dumped underneath.

I'm sure its possible... but why would you? There isn't much room for a muffler right there and you won't see performance gains. I'd also rather have the minimal weight of a muffler behind the rear tires for more traction (although the weight is negligible).
