383 With DynoDon Headers Video Clip

Just finished up the exhaust and small details the other day. I got it running but I still have to work on the tune and swap out the underdrive pulleys. Its running a little hotter than I like and the alt is only putting out 13.5 volts, so Im going to put the stock pulleys back on.
Its a 383 SuperRam with ZZ409 Cam, 1 3/4 DynoDon Headers, 3" Catco cat and 3" flowmaster exhaust.

I don't know what your exhaust sounded like before, but this sounds pretty good to me IMHO. What is your take on it??

Re: 383 With DynoDon Headers Video Clip

I had a 305 before with Edelbock headers, no cat and the same flowmaster exhaust. Im not sold on the sound of the flowmaster exhaust. IMO the GMMG cat back sounds the best but is a little pricey, so I think Im going change out my flowmaster out eventually for a Mufflex system since they are local to me. I think I will go with a spintech muffler.
Here is the old video clip with 305 in it.

Are you thinking of going with this: 82352CS
This Muffler is the same as 82352C, But Has Spintech™ Muffler Instead

Sounds nice... Seems very "tame" though, thought that cam would be more aggressive. Nice job !

I also thought the cam would be more aggressive as well. The tune I have so far took alot to get it to idle somewhat smooth. Its rich at idle otherwise if I lean it out it gets choppy.

nice.....The 383 eats up allot of the cam, same cam in a 350 would be massive

It sounds petty good. Am I wrong, or does the single in, dual out setup give an exhaust more of a "woosh" tone, for lack of a better description?

Also, what's up with your car being in pieces? Doing some major work?
