probably a really stupid question
what are the lines that go into the stock "headers" or whatever it is you call them. and what would i have to do with them if i get aftermarket headers.

the only dumb/stupid question is the one that is not asked . they are part of the emissions system . there are several good articles on removal if your state does not require them . also several if you do . there are good ones on the main menu tech tips . good luck .

i couldnt find anything about what to actually take off just what will happen if i do.

Your black AIR box comes off, the rubber hoses that connect to the black box/the one way valves connected to the metal tubes, the metal air tubes that connect to each separate pipe on the exhaust manifold, the air management tube that connects to the catalytic converter (you will need a new cat otherwise you'll have a hole in your cat where the tube used to go), and finally the smog pump.
You will need to either get a delete box for the smog pump or route a smaller belt around it.
It would be better to get a pair of Hooker 2055's

and just leave the air equipment intact. These bolt up directly.
