just bought an 84 with a 350 in it, has headers but no exhaust. now will it be too loud with no cat and dual 12" glass packs? that is the cheapest option for me. i am in a hurry to get it on the road before it starts getting snowy and the roads get salted. in this part of missouri there are no emission checks and as long as it is quieter than a harley it will pass inspection.

just buy a muff and put it on, it wount/shouldnt snow for another 2-3 months...

yes it will just put a non gaymaster muff on it and youll be fine.

Never been stopped yet for my Bronco when it ran open headers, or what it runs true dual not cats or mufflers rear tire exit x-piped...

Or Firebird with manifolds, and dual exhaust all the way no cats then dumps into one glasspack and ends...

 

Pick up a Dynomax catback. Summit carries it and its pretty darn inexpensive. 2.5 for fitment reference. It sounds pretty good too. Worried about performance? Get a cutout. Problem solved.

 

no, i am worried about the police. in this little town they are totally power hungry. they have pulled me over when i had a small hole in the muffler of my v6 dodge dakota. a holes...

 

If thats the case, you don't want duals with glasspacks. I have the 12" glasspacks on my thirdgen, and there really isn't anything there. They don't neck down or anything. I like them but when i give it hell you can hear me coming from quite a way down the road.
