Camaro cold air induction

I have noticed that there are no cold air inductions kits for TBI 3'rd gen cars. Airaid has a cold air induction kit for chevy Silverados with 5.0, 5.7, and 4.3 TBI engines (part #AID-200-104). Why wouldn't this kit work on a camaro with a little component relocation like the battery or the purge cannister? I have not actually seen these systems, I've only seen them listed in the summit magazine. has anyone done this or seen these induction systems and why would or wouldn't it work? For the price of an HO dual snorkel air cleaner you can get one of these, save a few bucks, and I think it would look better under the hood. Let me know what you guys think.

Forget that do it yourself...It is easy, and the results are SO worthwhile....Look at the setup I did..Have posted pic's several times...It even looks kinda stock...I used a TPI airbox in the front, and made a hybrid.....Sounds awesome also, not to mention the improved performance..Cost about 35 dollars...Not counting the Filter....Tom

Thanks I searched for stuff but there is just so much info on this site. that setup you have looks pretty cool almost looks stock. did you cut off you snorkel and reweld it or did you just turn it and put a new hole in the housing for the crankcase vent?

Had to weld it, but man it was worth the trouble...I do want to get a better flex hose on it tho...Next time, I will make the hole on the breather case bigger also.....Dont forget to remove the silencer ring inside the breather case......Tom

I will try to take some pictures for you............This is one of the best things i've ever done on my car.........I have a chrome Edelbrock also, but if the car goes to the track, or to a drive in, I put my ram air setup on..........Tom

Re: Camaro cold air induction

This is the thread to answer your questions. I been running this setup for years and my car has NEVER run hot no matter what the temp was...and it was very cheap to do...under $100.
