I like the look and have seen a could TA with the side skirts off of RS's for the lil scoop on the side- but never seen the front part done either, i was thinkin about a frontspoiler for months and figured i end up making a Pc like the drift cars, but after seeing the thread on Body kits for 3rd Gen- I reall started thinking....
If the sideskirts would fit- couldnt the front spoiler section ( fender area) be cut to fit...
The body pc i have- the camaro is one pc wraped- but the TA has ground effects in 2pcs...
if i cut the section needed couldnt i get it to fit and mold it on?
Also has anyone tryed putting the vents from the irco hoods on a TA....?
well anything is possible, and you have the skills to make it happen BUT! man.... your car is perfect the way it isbut if you most I would do the side skirts, the front I thing the GTA'S chin spoiler looks better than the camaro's but if you can blend in the side scoops to it to match the skirts that would be cool, as far as the hood goes I like your Shaker style and the louvers would just look like the over size version of the hood vents the trans am had.
kees us posted, I always look forward to your mods.

Thanks I really needed the feed back and out side view.
I will keep this in mind
That depends on who you ask. While the Camaros look OK, I think adding Camaro parts to any Firebird or Trans Am is a step backwards in appearance for them. I don't think that the Camaro side skirts flow very well with the lines of the car. That being said I've seen them done where they look OK, but usually only on 1984 cars with the aero package. In my opinion those had pretty terrible looking ground effects and damned near anything was an improvement. Side skirts from a 1991 RS were used and the standard front and rear ground effects were left alone. I saw that on this site, but that was years ago and I don't remember who's car that was.

i plan to stitch/epoxy the bottom half of a 91 camaro's bumper to the top of my firebird's bumper. which will achieve the look your'e talking about.
heres a photochop yevgenievich did i know its not the 91-92 stile but it gives you an idea what the bumper would look like.

Hey Nice chop- and almost... I love the side skirts on the TA, as 87bluebird posted...
which has now conviced me to do this...and if fact looks more fitting on the TA's then the Camaro....
The ground effects are a must...do
The front bumper...This i didnt think to even try cause i dont imagine it working very well altho the pic looks pretty good-better then i thought.
The hood vents....
the scoops scream NO...
but this is my attempt is more the lovers on the hood- kinda like the viper and the GT C5 Vettes have lovers on te hood...
the camaro ground affects compliment the fog lights on that style front bumper and look nice. but the bumper i have is an 83 trans am bumper and the grill things are missing leaving 2 gaping holes. so i was gonna swap my bumper any way and figured this will be a fun project when i get off my *ss and start it. it should be fairly simple and strait forward to do. and i have no fear of separation with the method of attachment i have planned.

verry cool, eep me in mind when you do, i like to follow tha thread and see how that comes out
I think the Camaro gfx look cool on a TA but man, your TA is too nice to do something like that too. Too bad you couldnt find a beater Firebird/TA cheap to practice on and see if you will be happy with the results

Those parts are bolt on. If he gets an extra bumper cover and gfx kit and makes sure he doesn't drill any extra holes to mount them they'll fit without damaging his car and he can switch it back.
this is all odd. i think your gta looks great the way it is (other than that hood) but thats your call.
the camaro hood blisters dont look bad at all on the ta.

Kind of the point- if i wanted the TA to look like the rest- I would have a TA that looked nuthing like mine....lol
I want it to be different- just not to the point it dont look like a TA.
Here's the other way around...83 Z/28 with 85-92 Camaro bumper cover, 85-90 Camaro front spoiler, 85-90 Trans Am side skirts, 91-92 Camaro rear effects and bumper;
The Trans Am skirts match the flow of the differing front and rear ground effects perfectly, better than any of the factory sets, and let me shave the stock emblems. The paint looks brown here, but it's actually a brandywine purplish-red.
