reverse hood opening?
84 z-28. I always liked the reverse opening hood on the mid 60's Vettes - a few quick measurings on 84 z-28 looks like I could put the Camaro factory hood hinges assembly on "backwards", that is, put the left side hinge on right front and right side hinge on the left front, in the fender lip like factory did it - drill and reenforce nut cups in the hood sides to attach the hinges , reloc the lift struts, bumperpads, etc. Put hood pins on the cowlside rear corners for hold downs.. could always try it with a fiberglas hood to have less weight to manage. anybody tried it? or have a better idea and experience??? thx

Re: reverse hood opening?
my dads lesabre had reverse hood opening. the front lifted up before opening away from the windsheild. i would think the hinges from one of those old buicks/olds would be a better choice.

Re: reverse hood opening?
There is a buick in a upull it near me with one of those buicks with the reverse opening hoods along with the hinges. I know some people have found issues with the hood hitting the bumper when it is in the up position.

Re: reverse hood opening?
Yeah, I ran into the same problem. I had to rework the stops on the hinges to eliminate that problem. I also had to remove the safety catch, or secondary latch, on the hood. Otherwise it poked into the front bumper where the front license plate mount.
