Couple Questions

alright, my 90 t/a was in rough shape when i got it. i've been slowly building my plans on what i want to do with it but i do know this, air conditioning is not in it's future. is there a special hvac controller (possibly 1le) that doesn't include controls for the air conditioning or would i just use a rotary switch to control the heat. also under the drivers side i think there is supposed to be a panel but i'm not sure. mine looks like something would bolt up. maybe to cover the fuse box and mount a spot for the diagnostic port. any help would be great.

A non-AC car should have what you need.

Re: Couple Questions

I know of two of the non a/c hvac controls. Only thing is they're still on the cars and right now its -9F. Way to cold to go to a picknpull. How do they remove? I know the obvious screws but what is conected behind them?

Re: Couple Questions

That's what I'm trying to figure out. If I get one of them what else will I need? I'm definitely wanting to pull the a/c right and make it look good.

Kansas and no AC? I'd like to check you ride out when you return.

Re: Couple Questions

James i think you've mentioned this before. If you use the HVAC without the ac, wont you need the internals of the dash as well? I thought i seen that the hvac with no ac will not work with a AC dash internals. Can you verify this?

Sorry. No experience. I can verify, however, that the non-AC dash is different from the AC dash: No vent cutouts and a slider(s) under the dash that opens the vents.

Re: Couple Questions

I know, no a/c is nuts in the midwest but when it's done it's going to be more of a weekend cruiser. If I get warm I'll just drop the windows and open the sunroof. Plus I don't like the cluster, it'll take away from the "look at me" factor of the engine I'm hoping to have done either in or before 2011.
