Re: How do you remove the headlight ****?
On the back side of the **** it has a push spring. You just need to use a very small, skinny screw driver and push that in while your pulling the **** and it will pop off. If you put your head against the dash and look behind the **** you can see this small spring thing when you spin the **** around.

There is a small cutout on the back of the **** where you can get screwdriver access to the clip.Once you push forward on it the **** should slide right off

This is how you remove the ****?
My stupid Chilton manual told me to remove the dash pad and hit some "release switch" on the headlight switch itself!

Re: How do you remove the headlight ****?
This is how i removed mine :
First , remove the gauge cluster (for reaching easy the damn spring) (good time to lubricate speedometer cable) , look under the headlight switch , and push-in hard a spring with your finger, hold it , and pull-out the **** .
To install , push-in the spring , hold it and insert the **** in place.
Cheers , JF

Re: How do you remove the headlight ****?
JEEZ, do it the hard way...!!
1: remove the panel under the steering column.
2: get under the dash- looking up toward the headlight switch- and you will see where the headlight switch fits into the module. You will see a button sticking out of it, pointing down towards you...
3: pull the headlight **** out as if you are turning on the headlights.
4: using a screwdriver, rod or stick, depress that button.
5: while depressing the button, pull the headlight **** out of the housing- bingo!
Now, remove the dash panel, gauge cluster or whatever you are planning and temporarily replace the **** so you don't rundown you battery!

BTW, you do not need to depress that button to reinstall the ****- just push the thing in and it will lock in place!
