Re: speedometer not reading correctly

also could it be that it isnt the correct speedometer for the car? it is a 115 mph speedo the car is a 88 camaro the dash says its a z28 but the side badges on the ground effects say its an rs the kid i bought it from told me the side ground effects were replaced because they were broke so im not sure if it should have a 115 speedo or possibly its supposed to have a 145?

A 145 will swap in if you should so choose.

No other modifications are necessary. To avoid any possible electrical gremlins, I swap in the speedo head only.

Hard to say.

I have a 145 speedo head (not the cluster) that was refurbished at a GM facility ($80), but in my car it always jumped three or four miles an hour starting around 60. Should you be interested, I'd take $25 shipped. If not, you might consider advertising for either the 145 or the 110 in the site's classifieds.
