Ashtray dimensions?
Trying to make a switch panel in place of the ashtray while the car is away anybody have the dimensions its an 86 iroc center console

5 5/16Wx 1 3/4Lx 1/9/16H. These are of the ashtray itself (removable part). did you want the dimensions of the flip up part too?

Dam thanks man as it makes it easier now to do it. Im gonna make mine like the ashtray but im going to recess it alittle shallower so its not as bad to get your fingers in it. might just hack the bottom out of a ashtray and reweld a piece to the bottom. its an option I have

I kind of want to do this too now, I would recess it so that the flip up part can cover it up.I'll get those measurements for you later today.

Alrite so i have confused myself with the measurements i needed dimensions according to the pic below also needed the dimensions of the hole where the ashtray sits i should have clarrified that in the op. I plan on making this out of plexiglass and debating on whether to light it up with leds....

Just to give you an idea. it's about 3.75" until the the flip cover.

I'm just curious as to how you'd mount them, the little lip that is there is maybe half an inch tall.

itll be just like how the ashtray looks and fits but with a flat bottom and made of plexiglass so i need the measurements of the red lines
