Re: Ashtray dimensions?

Dam thanks man as it makes it easier now to do it. Im gonna make mine like the ashtray but im going to recess it alittle shallower so its not as bad to get your fingers in it. might just hack the bottom out of a ashtray and reweld a piece to the bottom. its an option I have

Re: Ashtray dimensions?

I kind of want to do this too now, I would recess it so that the flip up part can cover it up.I'll get those measurements for you later today.

Alrite so i have confused myself with the measurements i needed dimensions according to the pic below also needed the dimensions of the hole where the ashtray sits i should have clarrified that in the op. I plan on making this out of plexiglass and debating on whether to light it up with leds....

Thanks, heres the pic

Oh, I thought you were making something with a lip on it like the ashtray has, so it would just sit in there. Didn't realize you wanted the hole.

What kind of switch(s) are you going to be using? there isn't much room in that area.

Re: Ashtray dimensions?

I'm just curious as to how you'd mount them, the little lip that is there is maybe half an inch tall.
