New member with a couple of quesitons :-)

Hello all, i am a new member here and i have an 86 Iroc Z. I was replacing the steering wheel and noticed why my horn was not working and its because the wire is missing. Can anyone direct me to a way to make a wire for it or a pic of what its suppose to look like or a place to buy a new one?? Thanks!

Also i have been struggling with seat belts like alot of other people on here, is there a place we can buy replacement seat belts or is it just wait for ebay to pop up?

Thanks!

Here is the link for the horn wire http://www.carid.com/1982-chevy-cama...-31654939.html

And you can probably find new seat belts from a company like year one but they will be high most of us just replace them with a set of fourth gen f-body seat belts.

Thanks for the info, So are the forth gen seat belts the same or do they require modification?

I was hoping to find an alternative possibly. I have racing bucket seats in mine and they have an adjustment that hits the seat belt retractor.

Was thinking of even going with a 2 point harness to avoid the issue.

Yeah they bolt right in no modification have to be done and they don't have that big retractor there so you will have the clearance you need.

My horn is also not working...I took off the cap, and that wire is there attached to the back of the horn button cap, but where do I put the end part with the spring on it? It was not attached to anything, and I am not sure where to put it to see if my horn will work.
Thanks!

Nobody huh? I am still stumped...I have searched youtube, etc and just cannot find out where to connect this wire...the one in the link is the exact one sticking off the back of my center horn cap...but it just isn't connected to anything, and I can't see where or what it attaches to! Any help is appreciated. I need my horn, I live in Southern California, need I say more? lol

There should be a hole into the shaft area behind the horn button, you just sort of push in and twist to lock it in, assuming not of the plastic is dry rot and broke. Other wise glue will be your best friend.

OK, I found the hole it goes into, but the white plastic piece in there seems to be broken, and when I put the wire in the hole it made the horn go off, so I know it works. So, what is the piece called that I need and how hard is it to change it out?
