Just recently bought and installed Fairchild door seals for $70. Wasted that money. They fit great except for up front where they screw to the door and where they’re too bulky. You have to slam the $#!+ out of the doors to get them to latch fully and now both sides have torn because of the excessive pressure. All this said, I haven’t heard good things about the soft seal sets either so does ANYONE make a worthwhile set or is this going to be like ACC carpets, they’re not good, don’t fit right but that’s all you get unless you find GM NOS parts for $$$. On the ACC carpets, got my new one in earlier this week, planned to put it in this week but found a huge hole torn in driver’s floorboard when I laid it out.
Here’s some pics of what I’m talking about. Besides the tear you can see how much the foam has to deform to allow the door to close

Well, that sucks, I need to replace door seals on my 92 v6 and 89 Formula and don't know which one to buy. Some says Fairchild is the best, some says Metro.
I used SoffSeal, only problem I had is they won't stay glued down where they make an "S" like curve about 1/3 of the way up on the front of the door. Doors close fine, but have a tendency to leak at that spot when it rains hard.
I re-did mine a few years ago on the 89, and am getting ready to do 'em again on the 88. Mine definitely closed tighter, and need a good slam, but one good summer of heat to help mold them and it that's about all it took. They get better with time. I redid EVERY seal on the 89 and they all were like that. I actually had to adjust the rear hatch motor so it wouldn't close as tightly! ....but after a few months they were all molded and more less back to normal.
I bought a complete set of weatherstripping from 1A 10yrs ago (man time fly's) and I got really lucky,I thought I was purchasing Metro or softseal but my kit
contained some GM weatherstripping also and apparently I have GM door seals and they are still looking brand new
I used Fairchild. As with t top weatherstrip, they are tight in the beginning, but after a month or 2, they fit great.
the problem with fitment I had was they were SO tight they TORE. if they were just tight I’d have stuck with them knowing they’d break in but instead of breaking in they failed.

that is hugely fortunate. I never even bothered to price out GM replacements. I read a dude say they were over $200 so didn’t even try.
I just looked them up from GM Direct the right side list for $373.77 on sale for 257.72 and the left side is not available it's discontinued
man I'm glad I got them when I did
