MAF to air box
for those of you who have put an LT1 into your third gen, what did you use for the connection between the MAF and the stock IROC air box lid?

The stock IROC airbox is a biiiiiiiig restriction and these engine need to breath, I would suggest using the LT1 elbow and CAI for it instead of the stock airbox.

I have thought about going that route but I am trying to get some ideas and maybe some pics of how it would look "stock."

If I can find something like the red camaro that would be great. But, I am not running speed density so it would need to fo from the MAF to the air lid.

But like I said, that's a big air restriction and the TB on the LT1's are bigger than the TPI cars, they need to breath. That was the main reason that the Ram Air cars were actually rated at 305hp insted of 275 that the non Ram Air cars were. To get the best performance, go with a CAI for a 4th gen, you won't be disappointed.

I will most likely end up going that route. I was just wanting to see other options that look factory.

here's mine. If it went into a stock B-body LT1 airbox instead of having the filter exposed, it would look factory. A B-body air box with a K&N will flow enouh to support 300-325 HP. (also, mu filter's not really that bright, the flash is just reflecting off of it)
