Re: reverse lockout wiring
I spliced into my brake light wire. I don't consider it a hack. I use solder and adhesive lined shrink sleeve. The swap works great this way. Dean

Re: reverse lockout wiring
so just put one lead to the brake light wire, and ground the other? and where is a good spot to find the brake light wire? i dont think the polarite to the solenoid matters does it? thanks,

Re: reverse lockout wiring
Ground one side of the solenoid, other side splice into light blue wire at the brake light switch. Thats how I did it on my 88 Camaro. Yours should be the same. Dean.

Re: reverse lockout wiring
I just looked at my Firebird shop manual and the light blue wire is correct. Dean
The polarity of the solenoid dosen't matter.

Re: reverse lockout wiring
It should be a 2 pin connector
R44 Lt Grn Reverse lockout
Pnk wire to IGN source
Being a truck engine you likely wont have that pin on PCM the connector but LSx terminals are super easy to move without any tools

Re: reverse lockout wiring
I ran the t56 before I went LS* and now that I finally put an LS* in I should've cleaned up the wiring a bit. Oh well.. Thread
