Any Gen V swappers? Looking into exhaust

I'm looking to reclaim my username and go back with a Gen V LT1. Been putting together a list of the obvious parts I know I need and realized I haven't seen any headers yet. Anyone know what works? Are there adapter plates for LSx headers? Going to have to be something custom?

*ETA: Actually I guess using stock manifolds and fabbing the y-pipe would be the simple route.

I've only seen one finished Gen V swap at this forum and the guy couldn't explain much because he didn't do it. I think @LsxMatt has been tinkering on a swap for a while and does all his own work. Maybe look for his thread.

Re: Any Gen V swappers? Looking into exhaust

Gen-V SBCs have some drawbacks (but also some benefits) over the Gen-IV SBCs.

Great flowing (for Stock) inexpensive Cylinder-Heads are the main benefit of the Gen-V SBC...
But aftermarket Heads for the Gen-IV, make enough power to not warrant swapping to a Gen-V.
The Gen-V Fuel System is a major drawback.

I'm aware of most of the issues. Haven't seen anything engine-wise that would deter me yet. Having to build custom headers would, though.

Thanks QwkTrip, looks like some good info in his main thread.

Are you deleting the AFM/ DOD System (Lifter Oil Manifold/ Valley Cover, Solenoids and Wiring, and 8 of 16 Lifters)?
You will be adding an Aftermarket Valley Cover and Set of Lifters, for No AFM/ DOD.

Are you deleting the VVT System (Camshaft, Timing-Set, Phaser and Wiring)?
You will be adding a new Camshaft, Timing-Set, and an Aftermarket Timing-Cover.

Are you deleting the Direct-Port Fuel Injection System (Fuel Injectors, Hard-Line Manifold, Mechanical Fuel Pump/ Regulator Assembly)?
You will be installing Pulgs into the Cylinder-Heads (where the Injectors were), a Pump/ Regulator Delete Plate, Fuel Rails, Fuel Pressure Regulator, Port Fuel Injectors, LS Intake-Manifold Adapters, and an Aftermarket LS Intake-Manifold (for Port Injection).

There is a lot more to show, than I posted.

Here is what stock looks like without the Intake-Manifold:

Yes on DOD/VVT, no on DI. It's a toy/weekend car, not a daily driver, and if my history with this car has proven anything, it won't stay bolted together long enough for build-up to be an issue.

Oh man that would really simplify things if so since I've already priced out some other hardware from them.
