header options
header options
what is out there for headers now? i changed my direction from turbo to a na stroker.
i have the hooker trans cross member and was following alan's route of the umi k-member with modified hooker engine mounts.
i see that hooker headers for the swap have been pulled from the market, not sure what else is out there that doesn't hang low and would work with what i already have. i am running a 4l80e at the moment.

Kooks makes a set as well as Speed Engineering. The later being the cheaper of the two. Hawks also still sells there's as well which I believe are rebranded Kooks. There are also the ebay option which I am positive are the speed engineering units.

Re: header options
thanks, most manufactures don't have pictures on the car, any advice on ground clearance with the different brands? i want to lower the car and not be stuck hitting everything.
my guess is i would need a 1-7/8 primary for the motor (367 stroker)

The entire Hooker setup (headers and dual 2.5") is built for maximum ground clearance

Re: header options
Ground clearance isn't really an issue with any of the headers, rather its the rest of the exhaust that tends to be hard to keep tucked up. As mentioned, the hooker system fits great, but limits you if you are making above 400rwhp (Per Holley).
