What about it? He doesn't want to part it and the only things my car needs are the center cap emblem, seat rip repair, and spare tire well fixed, other than that it's complete. Only other things I'm doing are wants like chrome rims, new exhaust, new engine, rear disk posi rear end and suspension work.

Got my exhaust done today, and I'm amazed. It sounds like a muscle car now, has a nice deep tone, my tips look good and I'm just happy with everything, bedding use any clamps or anything I had him weld it all in so it's leak free. My internets down right now so when it gets back up and running I'll post up some pictures

Re: Is this 86 worth this money?

to answer your question, you can super ocd clean it in strange places, get a jack and clean it up underneath, spray the bottom of the floorpans with some dupli-color bedliner to protect em a lil better, vaccuum all the carpet, armor all the plastics, clean everything you can, if your feeling brave clean the engine bay, take a little wd-40 on a rag/shopvtowel and clean up all the wires/vacuum lines/plugs/fitings anything thats been kinda faded out with time and heat

Re: Is this 86 worth this money?
my engines bays clean, cleaned everything when i put that new engine in, only thing i didnt do there that i wanted was spraying the bay black, but im going to do that when i drop my lt1. also when ever i replace anything i also clean the area im in, ic cleaned the floors alittle and tossed the idea around about undercoating. maybe one day.
i guess the next things im going to do are, fourth gen rear end, hopfully 3.73 posi, founders LCAs and PHB, SFCs, then my new engine and tranny. other than that i want to replace my booster and master cylinder, all the brake lines, and braking componets. just so everything is good and new and i dont have to worry, my brake fluid is really dirty though so thats going to be soon.

Love the tat man! Mine is so boring compared to yours... I want to add some stuff, but am keeping it all black so I don't have to touch it up as much. Here is me being a goofball at work. The car is looking better than ever! You will NEVER want to drive anything else after you get that V8 swap done!

I won't have to worry about anything being able to overtake my engine lol. Seming how with just the engine I'm aiming for 500 rhp
.but for now this little v6 is keeping me occupied, I'm looking for a set of heads and intake so I can port them and I'm going to buy a bigger cam and tune my ECM so I'll have alittle more power, I haven't decided on headers yet. Thread Starter

got my cupholder in today, was alittle pain in the ***, went out and bout a $20 3 1/4 hole saw to do it and i had to file it down pretty good to get it in but i got it, also i went to zone today to replace the battery and i started looking at their anntenas because im wanting a short black one, well while looking around i found a little 13" one that looks almost identical to the factoy one, so guess what im buying
. i think it will help my apperence out alot not having the giant anntena sitting out there.

I think it's too short.
a power antenna would give you the streamlined look you were after and still look completely factory

Re: Is this 86 worth this money?
got my lines replaced today and i dont have a leak anymore, those lines were a major pain in the *** to bend correctly but it looks better, shifts better, and idk if its me and my imagination but my car doesnt jerk into gear like it did, what i mean is like what i put my car into drive, or reverse it slammed like the whole car moved, and it was really bad going from neautral to reverse or drive but didnt do it while i was moving, but anyways it doesnt do that since i had my new lines on, it might be cause the fluid is cold or it didnt have alot of fluid moving yet but it didnt slam and it really suprised me. but i guess the best part about today was climbing under my car and looking at my floor pans, they are still spotless and rust free even after 4 years of driving and 2 winters of indiana winter plus the other 27 years my car is still rust free and you can still see red paint on the bottom of the car. idk why but it just made me smile.

i know the feeling, on both accounts, my car is still largely black underneath but with some white overspray (i think its been undercoated by po) and mine still jerks every time and its a 4l60 idk why it didn't jerk for ya might just be a one time thing, it'd unnerve me if mine didn't

Normally if it's cold out it doesn't jerk till it warms up or my car warns up but I drove my car around alittle to get thr fluid moving and it never jerked. So I'm stumped, oh well I like it. And my car hasn't been under coated so it's amazing it didn't rust

The stripes I was referring to are the lower body stripes. The black and gray stripes around the bottom.

Re: Is this 86 worth this money?
Good news..... I found a grille on Ebay, and it arrived yesterday from St Louis. Already have it on, and I'm so happy! Still need a dash pad, and a T-5 5 speed shifter plate.
Also need some information on the hatch motor, if anyone has had a similar problem and could tell me what I need to fix it. The fuse has been pulled because the hatch motor was opening and closing continuously and running my battery down overnight. Could this be the electrical contact? Or is it the hatch motor? I would appreciate any suggestions or information.
Thank you!

Well I'm ordering a new driver side parking lamp. I ordered one not too long ago from a place called house of camaro because my passenger was cracked and dirty. Well when I got my new one from house of camaro it looked brand new, so I'm going to order my driver so they look new. You guys might check them out. They are a sponsor on here and have a website, and are very good to work with " www.houseofcamaro.com " but I'm also going to have my interior shampooed and cleaned, might have the shop wax my car, I haven't decided yet.

Well I get just into the town and stop at a stop sign but when I went to go I had no power and my car tried to die on me, well I limped it to the side of the road and started listening and I heard my Fuel pump just screaming, well I limped it into a near by gas station and jump out and start checking everything and to me it seems like my pumps about to die, well I ended up having my engine vapor lock on me. I got going again and got into town to the hospital but the car kept dying on me and surging and having no power what so ever. Well it decided to die on me in the middle of an intersection with on coming traffic, well I through my car into neutral and tried to restart it and nothing happend. Well I ran into some problems today. Got out of school and found a text that my mom had sent me telling me my grandma had a stroke and she was taking her to the hospital about 30 minutes away so I start booking it to the hospital. Well stupid me decided to throw it into park while I was going about 40 trying to restart it. Now my cars shifting longer into 2nd..... It's not making any loud noises. A little rattle noisr in gear and shifts Tlat 3000 rpm now......

I hope I Didn't do anything to it do I don't have to fix it. I heard wrapping your fuel lines with aluminum foil helps it from vapor locking so I'm wrapping those tomorrow and hoping my tranny isn't hurt....
