looks nice, must be a pain to vaccume it all! i guess easier than trying to keep hard plastic unscratched/shiny =D some great work/craftsmanship!
Re: By Requets: Pics of my Interior
The 4th Gen console was a straight forward install. All I did was bolt it in, using the 2 bolts in the console storage area. and wire the 4th Gen lighter socket to my cars existing lighter socket wiring
Other than at the time I installed it I had Power Windows, so I made a plate out of plexi and put the window switches in the ash tray.
Now I have manual windows though, so need to find something to cover the hole that opens to the trans tunnel when you open the ash tray door
On sunday I also swapped to late 4th Gen seat belt guides, which can be seen Here https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/fire...-new-mods.html

Re: By Requets: Pics of my Interior
How come you used a 6 speed console? Too make it look like it has a manual? or are you planning on doing a swap to a manual later?
Re: By Requets: Pics of my Interior
Another Newer pic from last fall, I swapped out the panel with the Performance Suspension badge with a plain one, and Installed a factory Map Pocket Delete panel, to clean up the look of the dash

Re: By Requets: Pics of my Interior
did you build the hinged door over the cargo well, or is that a factory option on birds?

the hinged door thing in the rear was an option for firebirds and camaroes, i have three 3rd gens, and only one has the cargo cover door. also, there is no aft6ermarket manufacturer of these,s o ur best bet is to get one used or from a junk yard. Clean interior, goign to do the 4th gen console in my GTA

Re: By Requets: Pics of my Interior
really? wow I can honestly say that is the first time I've seen one, and I currently own two third gens and I've owned two previous ones aswell.
I'm going to have to look into getting one from somewhere.....
Re: By Requets: Pics of my Interior
There are 2 versions
1 for 82-85 Non Power pull down cars and another for the 86-92 Power pull down cars. Obviously the 86-92 version would work on a 82-85 car, but not the other way around.
You will also need to make sure to get the rear panel that goes up against the backside where the tail lights mount as well, as it is different for the cars with the covers. It has a wider "lip" with rubber bumpers, and a latch for the lock.
Also, my car did not originally have one, I got it and installed it in 2003. My 83 T/A had one from the factory, and after I got my Formula, I always wanted to put one in.
