3rd Annual TGO "Power at the Point" BBQ (North Point State Park)
Hey there folks, it's time to start planning up the power at the point picnic again! I was thinking sometime in August this year, perhaps even July as there does not look to be a TGO Nationals.
So, who is interested!?! You can check out the scoop on the previous picnic at the links below, the second one (last year) was cancelled as the park was heavily damaged by the huricane.
Park admission is only $3 a car, and bring a dish/something to eat. (potlock style!)

I'm interested. Just moved back to Maryland, and I'm still looking to meet some Thirdgen owners. Looks like it's about an hour trip for me, but sounds like it might be worth it.

I went ahead and dug up the old posts so everyone could see them easily and those who were subscribed got an e-mail.
NOTE that the date on the one post topic is NOT the date for this year.

My cliff notes on directions to the park:
From Northern MD/ points from North:
695 South Exit 42 - North Point Blvd./Sparrows Point. Bear right onto 151 South -- North Point Blvd. First left (Edgemere/Ft. Howard) onto North Point Rd. (into edgemere) you will pass a wawa on the left, then sparrows point HS on the left, stay LEFT at the fork in the road, strait for about a 1/2 mile, park entrance is on left. (bay shore road)
From Southern MD/VA/DC area
(I-95N to I 695 East, key bridge)
I95 North to 695E to Exit 43 -- Sparrows Point. Left (at ramp) onto Rte 158 -Bethlehem Blvd towards Edgemere/Fort Howard. Proceed to traffic light at North Point Blvd. Straight through the light onto North Point Rd. (into edgemere) you will pass a wawa on the left, then sparrows point HS on the left, stay LEFT at the fork in the road, strait for about a 1/2 mile, park entrance is on left. (bay shore road)
Basically after you get off of I-695 (and onto north point road if you are coming from the North, it's the first left) you stay strait on the main road until you hit the park. It will be on the left. (If you end up at Fort Howard Park, that's the end of the road, you have gone too far! It's back about 2 miles.)
Also, please note that mapquest says North Point Road/RT 20. there is no signs for RT20, just North Point Road, which are the same. Just worth mentioning.

MDv6man clued me in about this post... count me in again! If all goes well, my car will look better than it did two years ago- the only thing changed since then was the passenger side door. But now I've got a line on a second cheap car, and I just got a plasma cutter, so as soon as I get another car to drive, I'll be putting my car under the knife- frame and all! (Yikes) So hopefully I'll be showing up in the Firebird!
Will this be on a Saturday again?

Tom,
Sounds great, Saturday will probably be the way to go as it seems that works better for most folks.

Glad to have another local!

After some conversations and thinking about it, how does everyone feel about two picnics this year? It sounds like a good idea to me as we don't have any close gatherings going on this year. Instead of one in probably August, we would have one in say July and one in late September. Well, lets hear it!
