Anyone going to Club Clash tonight?

There was talk earlier of the new club showing up out there. Have you decided to do it?

I'll be racing with my old club, Heavy Metal Racing. If your club decides not to do it, you're welcome to put a "K" behind your number and race with us.

My son will be racing the Camaro, I'll be in the '57. Hopefully I've got my cam and fuel change issues sorted out now.

I wish I was gonna be there but still not done with the motor, now I've got a header problem seems that SLP's and AFR angle plugs don't mix so now I'm looking for a set of Hooker long tubes.

Don't let that stop you. Although the gates open at 3, as long as you get there before 6 you'll get 2 time trials. Get there after 6, you'll get one. Eliminations rarely start by 7.

Note that I'm not there yet.

On my way, though!

I'm running 1 3/4" SLP's with my AFR's. I believe my heads are the 'L98' angle version of AFR210's. You do realize (or at least they did when I ordered mine) AFR makes heads with 2 different angles; L98 and AFR. I've had to dent/clearance one tube if I remember correctly, but they work. Hell, I had to do the same thing with my Hooker LT's so it was no big deal to me. All the headers currently marketed for our cars have issues one way or the other. One of these days I'm going to break down and build my own.....it's currently the only part of my exhaust that I haven't built myself; besides the muffler

OK, that makes me feel a bit better - although I'm going to pay special attention to that when I finally start bolting my combo together... And yeah, I made a point of requesting the L98 angle plug version of the heads, along with provisions for the coolant temp sensor & the ability to use either centerbolt or perimeter-bolt valve covers...

But thank you for confirming that your SLP headers work with the heads, as those are the same headers that I'm using.

(Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread!)

Well, a mix - again.

There were a bunch of cars out, like there usually is. Time trials didn't finish until almost 8 p.m., and first round took until almost 10. My TT runs were within a few thousandths, which would be great except the air improved 300' between them and the 2nd was the slower. The Camaro was slow first run and quick the 2nd, so we weren't sure what to put on, finally decided to go with the 2nd run. As it turned out, we both went out 1st round, in opposite ways - I was treed (again) and broke out trying, he put a light on the other lane but hit the brakes too hard and let them around.

No racing next weekend (Night of Fire & Thunder), back to ET series on the 26th, and next Club Clash June 2nd.
