Define streetable? A race car in street trim that can't drive around all day in traffic or be driven across country or be a daily driver to me is not streetable.

As for a daily driver, streetable third gen, there's no reason you can't easily see a low 12 second car.

I'll 2nd that! My car is VERY mild and not too different to drive than stock. The car is full weight and runs at the strip the way it runs on the street. I'm about to start tuning here shortly and I'm shooting for high 11's N/A and high 10's w/ a 150 shot. I'd say that you could easily get a more radical setup than mine to run as a daily driver, I don't think low 11's N/A would be out of the question for a daily driver, with EXCELLENT traction. Which might mean bolting on some slicks or at least drag radials at the track. Although I use my BFG drag radials as street tires without any problems. Take a look at some LS1's too, there was a bolt-on (stock cam and heads) LS1 in GMHTP that ran 11.69 @ 114 MPH (albeit on slicks). I've seen heads/cam LS1's running 10's on motor on the stock bottom end and still be pretty streetable.

Well, if you don't have emission's testing you could always pop in a 632 that makes 1020 hp on pump gas Friend of mine put one in his boat lol. That will probably get you to the 9's if the rest of the car is up to it.

Mine is exactly run on the street as the track. Working on a new chip to get the launch squared away. 93 octane all the time

Not too shabby though, still got 29mpg on a straight highway run at 75mph

low 12's. If it's got a turbo you can always turn the boost up when you need it.

Car: 91 Z28
Engine: Forged 383

I purchased a 91 Z w/ the mods in the sig and with 3:73's I got 19mpg on the highway going 80mph. If I would have gone the limit, which was 65, I could have gotten 22-23mpg. This car has run a best of around 12.2 at 117mph (street tires) and it wasn't even tuned with a wide-band for max hp. Too bad the car spun a bearing when I was about 160 miles from home. Anyway the car was streetable and hopefully it will be again when it gets fixxed.

The car has gone 12 flat at almost 119. Did you find out it was a rod bearing yet?

I'm burning chips too.and should get e.t.s close to your's but in my wildest dreams get 29mpg on the hwy.I'm sure you've been tinkering with highway mode in chip burning but I can't imagine it pulling those mpg's.BTW what is your combo???

This was an off the shelf Thrasher 92 chip that had the injector constant modified for 50# injectors. With a Thrasher 92 chip and stock injectors doing 55mph, I got a best of 30mpg.

Combo: turbo 3.8L V6, 2004R trans, stock 3.27 rear. Nothing too radical.
