I would love to see what everyone on here runs and the specs on your setup. I will start, all of my cars are DOT cars on street tires:

Current car: 1989 Iroc Z 5.7, 2.77 gears 2800 converter
Best: 14.6 @ 94.5

Previous car: 1982 Camaro 350HO crate with xe274 can
Best: 12.28@111.85

I will be doing heads can headers intake and carb this winter on my 89, I miss wearing a helmet .

What is everyone else running?

 

My 89 that is getting torn apart to swap the engine into the 86 TA is:

Consistant 7.1 at 96 in the 1/8 on a1.55 60'

Been 7.0 at 97 on 1 pass and was at a quarter mile track, 11.18 at 122 and got kicked for no roll bar so it is the sole pass at a quarter mile.

Best so far (at my track) is an 11.89@115. It went 11.60@117 at Cecil. I am in the process of fixing a cracked piston, swapping to a TH350 with a 4800ATI. Goal - Getting kicked out of the track for no rollbar!

Best ET of 12.30@113, spinning bad one pass had a mph of 116.79. Stock 2002 LS1 with bolt-ons, 4.11 gears...until last week when I exploded the 9" at the track. Car is up and running with 4.30's now, 1/8th mile racing next Saturday.

Update: 1/8th ET of 7.62@90.73 Time to hit the quarter and get that 11.80 timeslip!

 

I saw your other thread 86iroc2try...it got me excited to get back out there. I am pushing to make the final month of racing at Beaver Springs before winter sets in.

357 motor, 10.9:1 C.R., Vic Jr., 650 Mighty Demon carb, Comp solid roller 236@ .050 .550 lift, Canfiled 195 heads. Cobra T-56 trans, Ford 9" 3.50 gears with a locker

Best run so far was a sad 13.3 @110.16 Car needs lots of suspension work and tires to hook, but mph suggests the motor is making decent power for what it is. Going to tear into the motor soon to see if I can get a little more power out of it.

 

So far I've been 10.97, @123. Plenty more still in it. Trying to get the rest of the car up to par with the drivetrain. Still sorting out suspension and proper gear to get the best out of it. Car is street driven all the time!

The motor is an 010 350ci block with Diamond billet main caps, Stock GM forged crank, knife wedged and lightened to 43 lb's. Eagle 6.0" rods. Ross Pistons 13.8:1 compression. Dart Pro1 heads, Schneider solid roller .680Lift. ProForm 950. Car runs on E-85 only. T400 with a brake, 5500 stall, Moser 9" w Detroit Locker.

 

Stock 305 TPI with a Tornado & an E-blower, B&M shift kit - 5.30 @ 128 in the 1/8

 

555, powerglide on 275's. real low 5's @3350lbs

 

Do you run octane booster also?

I pour the NOS energy drink right in the tank for da nitrous boosters.

If I run 5.3's with the combo I posted, just imagine what it really runs.....

 

Haha no kidding you must have stage 3 cam gears to run those times.

 

436 SBC,glide,stock suspension,single stage plate on 275's. 5.20's @ 135. New combo only has 18 passes on it and should run a bit better once it's ironed out.

You'll have to wait a little longer. I won't be at the october race since it's the same weekend as OC cruise. Converter is at PTC now getting adjusted and the car should pick up a bit next time out.

 

85 ta, 400cid, afr 235, turbo 400, 3.25 gears, racecraft 9" madman TA, 295/55/15 DR, Procharger F2, 3700lbs w/me race weight. 1 3/4" headers, mufflex 4" Best times to date 8.74, 160mph, 1.30 60ft. Just finished 1420 mile drag week drive with 8.97 5 day average. Work in progress always. Thats it for this year though.

 

forged 11.5:1 370" lsx, PRC stage 2.5 ls6 heads, carb, blah blah blah.

10.76 @ 126 in sea level conditions. haven't had those conditions in a while here. averages 11.0-10.9. 3400lbs. 93 octane and street driven.

 

1984 L69 with test pipe,original exhaust,under drive pulley,drag radials and 10" converter. 14.03 @ 94.4 MPH.

 

sbc 355 N/A, 906 vortec heads, .520/.540 lift and 236/242 duration hydraulic roller camshaft, q-jet with an adapter plate and manual steering. Suspension's just lakewood 90/10 front struts, 3 way adjustable shocks, sfc's, panhard bar, lca's and lcarb's. 275/50/15 drag radial. Car weighs 3200 with me in it.

Runs 11.9x @ 112 mph pretty consistently with a few slip ups of 12.0

 

That's moving for a l69 puts my l98 to shame

 

the l69 cars were very surprising. didn't take too much for them to get going quickly. now beyond where he's at will take some serious thought though (not hard, just not easier either). i have a buddy that had an 85 lb9/t5 car that made some impressive runs with just a handful of bolt ons and free mods done.

 

88 base model, 383, 6 inch rods, 11:1, 492 Iron heads, 780 Holley, MSD ign, TH400, 3800 ATI converter, 9 inch 4.10 on a Yukon Spool, 31 spline Moser Axles, BMR adj torque arm, founders LCA, UMI LCA relocation kit, Spohn K-member, Spohn coilover kit, 3215 lbs car with me in it. 11.58 @ 117mph at MIR two weeks ago.
