Hugger Stolen

I went out to go to work this morning, and Hugger was gone, along with many of my tools, and my brand new chrome 18" IROC wheels and tires on the rear. They bypassed my brake to shifter club and fuel pump cut-off switch to get it. Unfortunately I have no theft insurance on it right now.

If you see it please call me at 503-702-2312 or call the police department with the location.

Oregon licence plate: 88 IROC
Color: Medium Metallic Orange (rust or coppery looking)
Interior: Tan custom cloth

Do you have homeowners or renters insurance that will cover it? Were you gone for awhile or something? Someone must have been there quite awhile if they had time to get through your club, fuel relay bypass, and take tools.

I had my car stolen in '94. It may not have been driven away. May have been lifted on a flatbed.
Hope you get it back ... in one piece too.

Now I'll admit I "moved" a few cars around that belonged to my friends with the tow truck (only as a joke and only around the corner), but if I was going to actually steal a car a tow truck would be the way to go. Nobody ever looks at a car getting drug off by a tow truck except to see whos car is getting repo'd.

I'm really sorry, man. 87RS brought up a good point, it was most likly someone who knows your car or a lot about cars. Your average theif would give up if there were anti-theft devices on it. If there was anything I could do to help, I would. Theres about a one in a million chance it would show up around here, but I'll keep my eye out just in case.

Sorry again,
Matt

Lance, that totally sucks Dude! Thieves SUCK!!! I know how you feel though. I **** when my '94 got stolen a few years ago. Luckily, the WSP found it in one piece, with the morons who took it still driving it!!! I wanted to split their skulls with a tire iron, but the Troopers probably wouldn't have thought that was too cool. Either someone towed your car away or they had knowledge of your security. Hope you get her back, and not just a few pieces. Good luck.

I realized while I was at work today that I may have left the keys to my garage and Blue in the console too (no identification of the garage #, but the keyring does say Camaro on it). I've been in and out of my garage a bit lately. I'll have to check when I get home later. I sure hope not. I was up until 4am this morning, and heard nothing, and I would think that I would recognize the sound of my engine only 2 stalls away from my bedroom window, and certainly didn't hear any trucks. My tools were in the rear glovebox. I can only think of 3 people I've ever told where the fuel pump switch was located (outside of my family), and none of them would be involved. I figure it was a pro job done by someone familiar with the complex and vehicles, and that it is probably stripped by now. I found out from my complex manager today that there have been 8 cars stolen off of the property since January 1st including mine.

BTW, I had just purchased the rear 18" tires and installed them on the 18" IROCs I bought last summer as a surprise for the March gathering that never happened. My rear chrome 16s were in a bag in the rear hatch well (minus my old worn out tires), so I am out all 6 wheels.

Don't be too sure. I thought for sure my '94 Camaro would come home in a little box, but as I stated above, the idiots were driving it locally with my plates still on it! Talk about stupidity!!!

Luckily, those 18" IROCs are kinda rare (I've never seen any in person). They will be easily recognized on the street, and if you see them advertised in the paper, check it out!

Good luck finding her Man, it really gives me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach when I hear about stuff like this!

BTW, everyone in the Crew who is reading this should keep their eyes peeled for Hugger or those chromed IROC wheels. And tell your friends to do the same. Between all of us from southern Oregon to BC, there is a chance someone will see something.

Where the cut off is is a rare place. If indeed it's the same places as Blue's. I'm also leaning to it have been towed away. Unless someone happened to see you flipping the switch lately. That really sucks man. Hope you find it. I'll keep my eyes peeled.
