Procharger install help- GTA

1. HITHERE read the part that says "relocate the cruise diaphram to the rear of the shock tower". Um.. How exactly do you do that when the master cylinder is right there and the only spot that is left is the place where you mount the FMU? This is retarded.. If anyone's got better instructions or hints/pictures, HITHERE'd really appreciate it.

2. When HITHERE lowers the charger to the bracket it hit my fuel line from the pump? Is this normal? should HITHERE just bend it backwards?

Thanks in advance.

just send that baby ot me and HITHERE'll install it and let ya know what to do :-D No you should be able to just bend the fuel lines as long as you aren't restricting they're flow and the cruise thing you can move anywhere as long as you don't kink the line.

LOL. I wondered where to put the cruise actuater also. It's on the floor of my garage. the fuel lines hit my charger also so I installed braided lines up over the back of everything. Also didn't like the pos air filter housing they give for the back of charger, so I am currently designing my own. Where did you put your horn?

My ATI kit came with the Power steering lines.

I located the horns under the front of the car and bolted them to the flat plate that is between the bumper and the engine bay.

I located the cruise control to my garage!

Don't see any good place to install it????

I unbolted the metal fuel lines from the bracket at the front of the engine and this gave them better movement.

Hope this helps.

Say HITHERE, do you know Uffe? He is a fellow list member on the 1989 TTA newsgroup.

I found a place to mount it yesterday. I placed it on the strut near the brake booster. I modified the bracket some, I'll try to post a picture of it tomorrow!

I also have a GTA w/ a procharger, My installation of the C.C. looks almost the exact same.... I rerouted the fuel lines near the area where the washer fluid res. was. I am planning on redoing the fuel lines w/ braided lines....
I have the 3 core intercooler and it hurt the cooling system quite a bit. I am finishing an engine swap and plan on mounting the IC behind the bumper w/ some custom ducts built into the bumper. I also scraped the AC system for less restriction to the radiator

Wow. Nice to see and hear about all the boosted GTA's. I have no plans on adding the cruise control back into the car. I will put it in storage with the rest of the parts that I have removed from the car.
